New accounts person claims they dont offer services that MICU website says are available. Some might call it bait and switch. Beware.

I've worked with several banking institutes for personal and business banking through the years. Most have been the huge, multi-branch banks run by corporations with a rotating door of impersonal employees. Everyone knows the culture and there's a reason for the distrust.Mid-Illini Credit Union's motto is "Where Different is Better". And they live it. Most will encounter this culture even before they enter the lobby for the first time. Mid-Illini is committed to serving the community they are a part of. So, you'll often see the organization and employees outside of the banks walls, serving and making a difference as they reach out. When you do enter the lobby, you'll notice how various employees warmly greet you and make every effort to make you feel at home. Beyond that, in the event that you need a loan or have a business need, they are the most attentive and treat you like an honored guest.I know so many employees that stand out, but among them are Julie Workman for her community outreach and Robin Juhlers, who is one of the most professional loan officers I've ever had the opportunity to work with. And the owner's are the best of all, because all of the 'customers' are actually considered the member owners! I'm a huge fan and I'd suggest others looking for something 'different' to come as see the advantages of membership with MICU.

Recently my information was compromised by someone stealing my phones' IP address. The people at mid Illini quickly shut down on my current account and debit card and got me a new acct numer and debit card set up within an hour ! Also, I was on vacation in Florida recently and the lady at the counter was entering my information from my credit card incorrectly. The ladies at mid Illini credit Union went out of their way to help me and to get visa online to figure out what exactly the problem was. Afterwards, I was able to proceed with the vacation without issue!!

I've had an account with mid-illini for over 15 years. They take the time to treat you like a person, not just an account number. When you're in regularly, they know your name when you walk in. The rates aren't the best on CD's and savings accounts, but they make for that with excellent customer service, a good online banking system, and ATM's that will give you two $20's and a $10 if you want to withdraw $50.00

I have been a member of the Mid-Illini Credit Union for about 9 years. I recently applied for an auto loan and had the pleasure of working with Terri James. She made the process go seamless from the approval process to picking up the check for the dealership and sent all documents for me to sign straight to my office. The day I picked up my new vehicle, I was in and out in under an hour. I am set up for automatic payment withdrawals. Terri did outstanding work for me. I highly recommend if needing a loan, to give Mid-Illini a try.

Yea when u set a payment to be taken out of your account on a certain day... And then they take it out days before its supposed to...then your account overdrafts...second time they over drafted my account and like the 5th or 6th time they take the payment out early since I changed the day they money was supposed to come out!!!!The problem was fixed the same day!!! Customer service was very good!! They acknowledged it was there mistake and would not happen again. Thank you for the quick fix!!

I’ve done business with this institution for many years and have always had a positive experience. I have always felt the institution as supportive in our unique lending needs and have been fortunate to work with Sue, Vickie and Terri and really appreciate each of them for the service and help each have afforded me in my dealings with MICU.

I have had good experiences in the past with car loans from credit unions. So, when I was in the market for a new vehicle, I applied online to MICU. Shortly after completing a simple online form, Grace Nichols reached out to me to follow up on the application. Now, she could have earned her points my just getting me signed up for an approved loan. But she didn't take the easy route. She noted some issues with my credit that she thought I could readily clean up. We met and she walked me through some simple steps and I decided to do some debt consolidation to move revolving credit to a short-term loan. The process was easy. She helped me at every step (I can be a little detail challenged at times). And we got the loan set up. She was very helpful at every point in the process. Thanks Grace!
