I Applied for a Position with Mercy Corps in Kenya. After about a month or so I was informed that I am shortlisted and for the preparation of the Interview I should fill out a questionair. After I filled in all the questions, which took me about an hour, I send it back. As I did not hear anything from them anymore I wrote 2 or 3 emails asking when I can expect an Interview date. They did not even answer any of my emails. In return approximatelly 2 weeks later they just send me a turn down letter. I can not recommend them as I find the HR selection is NOT transparent and the behaviour of not answering emails is unacceptable. It seems they had already somebody from the beginning and just for the sake of it advertised the position to comply with internal regulations. Considering that they live from donor money this is just a no go.
