When the Saturn ION I bought from Mathison broke down, they would not fix it under their warranty. Instead they sold me a new car, and I was out the payments I made on the previous one. After a total of three years of faithful payments, I lost my job, and they re-possessed the car after two months of delinquency. I had expensive things and priceless things in that car which they threw away and I can never get back, such as family and baby pictures, birth certificates, and high school diplomas. Four years later, they are re-reporting "repossession" on my credit bureaus, as if it had just happened last month instead of years ago--which is illegal.Check out the customer reviews on The Better Business Bureau website. You'll find many more complaints like mine. Also, search for the story where Mathison Motors would not return an urn containing their customer's child's remains which was in the vehicle they repossessed. That happened in 2015.

This place has now sold me 2 vehicles with bad motors. The first one I lost alot of money on because I had to start my loan all over again on the new one witch now also has a bad motor. I would suggest going some were else.

I highly recommend mathison motors! They are so great to work with! Karri and Sue are amazing!! Easy to work with and very nice! If you are looking to finance a vehicle in the future go to Mathison Motors!!

SCAMMERS!! ALL THEY DO IS SLAP A BANDAGE ON THE VEHICLES AND SELL THEM FOR MUCH HIGHER THEN THEY ARE WORTH! I can’t give them a lower rating, my Fiancé purchase a 2003 Dodge Stratus from them about 2 years ago and within that first year of getting the vehicle from them, It had NOTHING but problems! Ball joints, struts, the remote start hardly worked, the vehicle ran extremely rough. Loud muffler. (It almost seemed like it had a noz attached and it was removed) I could go on and on! But when we purchased a new vehicle WE DID A VOLUNTEER REPO!! OVER A YEAR AGO. But we recently discovered that the are still reporting to my Fiancé’s credit EVERY-MONTH! Stating that we still owe them 5 grand. THEY ARE SCAMMERS JUST LOOKING FOR A EASY TARGET. DO NOT GO HERE, Save your money and go somewhere way better!!

‼️SCAM ALERT 🚨 I’ve had two cars with them , and I’m in the middle of paying off my second and realized I’ve already paid this car off!! I hope everyone does their math including your interest rate because you’re paying WAYYY more then your car is worth!!!

UPDATE! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. Had a 03 Buick century. Which we had multiple problems with Electrical short, multiple starters. Once that car was paid off we decided maybe give it one more chance. Got into a 05 Hyundai and within the first 2 weeks we had a cracked rim. And corroded window hinges. Now it's only been a few months since then. And I have personally had to take it in to get brakes and routers done. Had my wheel bearings replaced.(mechanic said those were some of the worst conditioned ones he seen) And now just found out we have a leak between our transmission and transfer case. Another $400+ fix. DO NOT GO HERE! and now our third vehicle is already having problems and i called our sales person and i got fed a long line of BS. Not even a half hour after owning it I had to call their service department to get it fixed and found out it needed a new wheel bearing. And what I originally brought it in for the traction control and stability track warning lights still come on. And now starter went out just today. I would save your money and go to brandle motors in little falls. Look at the reviews compared to here. I wish I would have done that. Buyer beware with this place....

I purchased a vehicle here on 01/26/2018 and 3 days later, gears were slipping. I took it to the nearest dealership for this vehicle type and was told that the vehicle had a leak. So I immediately contacted Mathison Motors to apprise them of the situation. I was told to bring it in to their service department for diagnosis. Well they claimed there was no leakage and therefore not to be concerned. So I believed them. Well on the 8th of June the tranny went out and has been sitting at a transmission facility. I'm finding out that the warranty company will not honor the service contract citing that had the leakage been fixed in the first place that the tranny would not have faltered. Everyone is passing the buck. And no one wants to accept blame for whose at fault. It REALLY does not take the mind of a genius to figure out that I was sold a lemon! Please do not be fooled by this company of crooks. You're better off saving up and buying a car from a REPUTABLE dealer. They're sheisty and crooked! PLEASE BEWARE! I am taking my concerns to the Attorney General because EVERY other dealership that I have reached out to said the exact same thing, and that is, that they would have fixed the problem from the beginning had I purchased from them and that Mathison should have, in all fairness, treated me like they would have wanted to be treated had the shoe been on the other foot. But obviously that surely did not happen. I will be taking this owner to court!!!!

Overpriced vehicles but with credit issues I can understand, Clearwater Finance is not a good lender to work with, never have been late with a payment until last Friday and that was only because I changed jobs and banks and no longer have direct deposit and had to wait for my paycheck funds to be available, I made the payment the next morning... just received a letter today saying next time late payment will not be accepted and they could exercise the right to repossess even though I was in contact Friday and explained the situation, I will never do business again after this vehicle and suggest that anyone else doesn't as well

Absolutely top notch service. We had to get a car today, and they treated us great, and we left with a fantastic car that we can afford and that fits our needs perfectly!! Definitely recommend them!!
