The resources provided through the Loveland branch of the SBDC, and those offered by the Larimer SBDC in general, are really quite staggering. Not staggering in the same way that trying to start my own business is staggering; every day I come up with questions that I didn't expect, and don't know how to answer. My one on one appointment with Franklin Taggart covered topics I was asked to specify on a pre-meeting questionnaire. During the meeting itself I was given plenty of time to cover what I believed were the most important factors/questions for my future endeavor. Franklin directly addressed my biggest uncertainties, and provided clear answers where they were available (around subjects like copyright, the best business form for my company, etc.). If those invaluable (and completely free answers...) weren't payoff enough, Franklin helped me narrow in on essential next steps, and shocked me by offering not just one follow up opportunity, but as many as I'd like. As I begin to consider the number of expenditures I will have to make in the near future, the value of these services (advisory/informational sessions, workshops, networking opportunities, etc.) are at least a star beyond the 5/5 I can give here. Before I've even fully exploited the advice and follow up opportunities I spoke about with Franklin and Mary Ann, I've already received an unbelievable return on my only investments: time + gas. I have used the Loveland Business Development Center since shortly after we opened our doors five years ago. They have been instrumental in helping us grow our business, and in helping us to look at every angle of our business's financial health. I especially worked with Robert, and he is fantastic. He provides me a wealth of information to look at and to evaluate where we are doing well and where we are falling short. Even as we continue to grow, I plan to continue to consult with this valuable business tool in Loveland.

I love the LBDC! They are a wealth of knowledge and support that is unending. They truly believe in helping small business start and succeed, although if they have concerns or feedback they will share them in a compassionate way. Mary Ann Huffines knows so many people right off the top of her head and is quick to connect you with the folks you should know. The programs are top notch and a true jem in our community! I wish I'd found them sooner! Kathy Stewart has been invaluable to me in her business coaching. THANKS LBDC for all you do for me and our community!

Loveland Business Development Center has been an invaluable resource in the process of starting a new business. It's hard to believe that this kind of support is available to local small business owners at no charge! The workshops that are offered for a small fee are worth much more than the cost and cover a wide range of relevant topics for business owners. The networking events are a wonderful way to meet other business people and make connections. Loveland is very fortunate to have LBCD!

Starting a new business can be so scary. All the questions on should I be an llc or how do I get my business license. What about marketing? I started My cleaning business and Loveland Business Development has exceeded my expectations. They take time to help you and teach you with many different mentors. They have events to help meet other professionals. Hands down the right choice is to go to them for all your business trainings. I’m in year 2 of my business and I still go there to see what I can do to improve.

Loveland Business Development Center is a GREAT resource for any business owner! From the moment I spoke with Mary Ann I felt that she cared about me and my company, as well as about helping business owners! She was excited and passionate about getting me on the schedule to meet with an adviser. I gave her a list of things I would like to improve on and she advised me on whom to meet with first, second, third... having that guidance is very comforting. Met with Kevin L. and he was great!! Answered our questions, gave us insight, and really walked us through some of his experiences. Don't miss this opportunity to work with and gather information from other successful professionals.
