Not too sure why this place has 5 stars. I read reviews on different pawn shops around Boston and chose to come to this one over another pawn shop that was closer to my house. I had a 16 inch 14k gold chain that was lying around in my room that I paid around $100 for a few months ago. Why was I only offered $8 for the chain??? I’m not too sure how they price items, I didn’t see the lady who was assisting me weigh the chain or examine it before giving me the price. all she did was make a comment about how the chain was “so thin”. I had come so far and wasted money on gas that I just took the money and left but I will NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. The woman’s comment alone made me feel uncomfortable. If I could give the place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat.

I’ve gone to this place a few times and each time it’s always been a wonderful experience. Danny is always friendly and always gives me the best price for any gold that I want to sell. Merchandise is always great and I’ve bought quite a few items here that fit my style and budget. From jewelry to coats to even shoes and watches, Chanel and Gucci purses to Movado and Rolex watches. All at great prices you can’t find anywhere else. Great place to visit and check out if you’re in the Davis Sq area!!

Great place to get the most for your gold!! Went to 4 places and LBC gave me the best price for all my gold. By far the highest!! They also have a fine collection of watches and bags to sneakers and instruments. Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Rolex at best prices. Would recommend to anybody looking for a great deal on excellent merchandise!!

I don't normally post online reviews but I was moved to let the world know about the great experiences I've had at LBC Boutique & Loan.I went in today (and yesterday, in fact!) to sell some scrap gold I found while cleaning out my apartment. Lucky me as gold is at a 7-year high! I did my homework before going in and worked with Danny who was fantastic!! He was really friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions and breaking down exactly how he came to dollar amounts (they give you 80% of the value by weight) based on the number of carats and the pennyweight unit of measure.We went through all of my pieces, many of which were not real gold, and Danny consistently displayed patience, good humor and professionalism. Truly exceptional to work with. I had been in a few times before in 2018 to sell some silver after a death in the family. Again, Danny was superb to deal with. I've also purchased some beautiful, unique pieces of sterling silver jewelry from them. Friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended!
