About - Lavu, Inc.
Ohad Jehassi, President
Saleem S. Khatri, CEO
116 Central Avenue Southwest | Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102 When you think of Route 66, you likely imagine a nostalgic landscape with retro diners and kitschy tourist traps.
What you’re probably not envisioning is a state-of-the-art point of sale company. But that’s exactly where you’ll find Lavu, an innovative company located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lavu burst on the scene in 2010 and had some early successes but, in a crowded market, its ability to adapt and stay abreast of customer needs has vaulted it to near-elite status.
Lavu specializes in helping small to mid-sized businesses with some features specifically tailored to food trucks, pizzerias, breweries, and cafes, but it’s robust enough to handle pretty much any type of food service industry. Lavu is downright thoughtful in its design, packed with many industry-specific features essential to food trucks and large restaurants alike. The software was conceived as a wireless experience and jives with the user-friendly interface of the Apple products it runs on.
Lavu can currently be found in over 20,000 restaurant terminals across 88 countries and it shows no signs of slowing down. The development team continues to create new features and add-ons to keep up with the industry. Florida International University’s School of Hospitality and Joliet Junior College’s Culinary Arts Program both use Lavu as a learning tool for their students.
Lavu does a lot of things very well. Its layout is highly customizable and, although it’s not the most intuitive and simple system around, it provides enough materials to help with training. With the roll-out of its Inventory 2.0 function, Lavu has addressed arguably its biggest deficit and its inventory management and purchasing ordering features are now on par with those of other top-rated systems.

Overall Feedback:
Restaurant owners beware. Really poor customer service, regular outages, no call backs and so much more. I hate leaving terrible reviews but I regret going with Lavu so much at this point I just hope I can save another restauranteur a real big headache.
