Client Review on Latah Credit Union

Feedback:

Bottom line: don't bank here unless you want to be hassled. If you need to do shared branching, be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen. You are not allowed to use the drive up teller; you must physically come into the branch. But, only between the hours of 9:00 - 11:00 am and 2:00 - 5:00 pm. That's right, if you arrive outside of those hours, they refuse to do your transaction. It gets even worse if something goes wrong. I experienced a malfunction using the ATM (again, needed to do some shared branching and that's only allowed during certain hours so forced to use the ATM). The ATM generated the following error message "This transaction cannot be completed at this time". This occurred after I inserted $120 cash into the machine. It provided no receipt and the money was not deposited to my account. The ATM stole my $120! I tried to call and speak with some to clear this several times, during business hours, each time the phone would ring and ring but no one would pick up. Finally got through to someone and got it sorted out which required another trip to Latah CU. When I asked WHY this error happened they basically said, "Oh, it's just one of those things". I asked, "So, no one is even going to look into this, maybe pull the logs and run some diagnostics on the ATM?" Sure enough, the answer is no. No one cares. I never even got an apology or any recognition of the inconvenience. I literally can't wait until that new credit union opens up next to the U of I.
