My husband passed away and had pawned quite a bit. As I could not afford to claim pawn, I let it go. A month or two later I received a handwritten letter (as if people do that anymore!) from J&S addressed to my husband from Roberto showing great concern about the lack of communication from my husband, not with concern about pawn but concern about him personally! Hoping everything was okay and that he was okay! After I read the letter, I realized Roberto really cared and with that I picked up the phone and called him, just to make him aware that my husband had passed and I couldn't afford the pawn. He was taken off guard about what transpired in the past few months, offered his sincere condolences, and was so understanding that it made me feel bad that I couldn't pay the pawn. Roberto knew my wedding ring was in pawn and I asked him if I could somehow work out a payment with him. He said come in and he would see what he could do. Little did I know that after he talked with the owners of J&S and made them aware of the situation, Roberto handed me my wedding ring and said to me, "it's the right thing to do." With that I proceeded to cry because I was so touched by their kindness! As I went through my husband's things, needless to say J&S was there for me and I hope they are there for a very long time! Thank you for caring!
