About - iZettle (UK)
Magnus CW Nilsson, CEO
We’re making history with this iZettle review.
This is our first review of a processing company based outside of the US that does not even serve US-based merchants. But we’d heard a lot of good buzz about iZettle. So here we are.
iZettle is sometimes called the Square of Europe. I don’t necessarily think that’s an accurate description (we’ll get into all the reasons why later on), but it’s easy to see why it’s a leading choice in Europe. Located in the UK?
iZettle is our top-rated UK payment processor Mobile Processing Point of Sale Online Store Invoicing Claim 19 Offer Sign up for Free Get Started Get Started Card reader is only19 for a limited time (Normally59) Specialised upgrades are available Integrate with all sales channels Easy one-time and recurring billing Always 0/month 0/month for standard app 14-day free trial Always 0/month 1.75% for in-person sales 1.75% for in-person sales 2.5% for ecommerce sales 2.5% for invoiced sales Europe only. Does not serve US or Canadian businesses. Europe only.
Does not serve US or Canadian businesses. Europe only. Does not serve US or Canadian businesses.
Europe only. Does not serve US or Canadian businesses. While iZettle currently servesSweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the UK, Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, the Netherlands, and France, I will focus on the company’s UK services for this review.
Specific rates and limits will differ from one country to another (so do your research), but the products, services, and features remain essentially the same. Note that iZettle does not serve businesses located in the US or Canada. Since my expertise revolves around the US market, I can only compare iZettle to what we have here.
In my research, I have found that iZettle offers high-quality service, honest marketing, and a capable mobile app. There are a couple of shortcomings with iZettle’s service. There’s no offline processing, no manual entry, and no gratuities.
There are none of the bells and whistles that American consumers might expect. It is a basic app. But at the same time, it has everything you absolutely need to run a business and accept credit cards.
Given everything I’ve seen, I am confident in recommending that you give iZettle a shot in the UK and other supported countries. The company gets a favorable 5 stars for UK-based merchants. Check it out, and read the rest of the review for more information.
And don’t forget to comment with your insights and experiences.
