These where great gave me the chance to consolidate bills into one manageable payment when a bank wouldn’t give me the time of day they actually look at your income and expenditure rather than just a credit score that doesn’t tell a full story. I can now move on with life without worrying about paying crazy interest on credit cards etc Thanks a lot credit union 😊

DO NOT USE applied for a loan. I was refused. The person who I spoke to stated it was because of my credit history. I stated I had been a victim of identity theft and that will be on my credit history. She then said it was because I was unemployed and I had no means of paying it back. Didn’t take into account I’m on long term sick and that if I wasn’t on benefits I would be working so oayments would still be made and I would be saving. Didn’t take into account the debts I would be paying off which would leave £256 better off each month which is more then the repayments that I was going to make. Didn’t take into account that I would be paying off the loan more quickly then I would be my debts. Didn’t bother to offer a lower loan or help in any way, seemed more concerned as removing me as a member. Ignored my email asking them to reconsider pointing out exactly where the money would be going and how I was going to afford the repayments. Been ignored. Haven’t even bothered to informed me of when I would be receiving the money I have saved with them back. Absolutely disgusting, suppose to be helping people such as myself. No one else will touch me and if they did, I would be putting myself in further debt and in a more dire situation. I now have the decision to pay my bills next month or use the money for food/presents so I can have a Christmas. Would not recommend at all. Have no understanding at all, so upset about it all

I am one of the members from the early days when it was based in a cubby hole at the Guildhall. I am always extremely happy with the service I get from the staff. The Credit Union is such an asset to Hull!

As far as loans great !, BUT the new banking,changing direct D's & standing o's & for those on diff benefits child,disability, so I hear it a ball ache, and to top it all off you have to pay to bank with them,to get statement,to check balance u pay,to use card u pay , even so Iv stayed with them out of loyalty, lol naa just canny be arsed to find another bank, right mess about BUT cheers for the loan , Merry Xmas
