Except for one receptionist on our last night who insulted us when we asked for printouts of our train tickets the staff was very attentive: during breakfast they would make sure we are done before removing everything, at the 'beach' the person who helped us find a sunbed was very helpful, the people at the reception were extremely nice and on our last evening the hotel offered us a jar of lemon marmalade and a packet of local biscuits! The breakfast was great: freshly squeezed orange juice, hot water for the tea served in silver-plated teapots, croissants au chocolat to die for, fresh fruit of the day (melon or water melon when we wee there). We had a huge terrasse. We ate once at the beach restaurant, the hotel offers 20% reduction if you eat at the indoor restaurant, we never managed to try it, we preferred to try restaurants in town..

We had three wonderful days in this hotel. The view over the garden with all the flowers and the sea just behind was priceless. The rooms were very comfortable and the service was excellent. Breakfast on the terrace was one of the best during our stay in Italy with plenty of coffee made specifically for us (getting less common in other hotels). We ate at the restaurant on our last night and it was truly exquisite. The concierge, Caesar,gave us good advices on how to get to the destinations we wanted. Avoid the month of July if you can: the town is so packed with tourists, it is quite unpleasant and you won’t reach the sea unless you climb over bodies (yes people still cook themselves in Europe!)
