Had an account here since I was a baby. My dad opened it for me when I was born. Safe to say in the 30 years I've been banking here, I've always had good experiences.

Feedback:

Wish there was a zero star option. When the bank is closed on Saturdays forcing you to use a shared branch and then they put a hold on you funds for 5 days because they can’t verify they funds until then is a bit frustrating. I ask to close my account and the only response is sorry we can’t do that at this time is not great member service

Horizons North Credit Union needs a lot of help in the Customer Service department. Customer Service is an area that needs alot of work for their future customers

I have no idea why there are so many poor reviews on here. Probably from people who work at banks trying to bring down the rating on this amazing credit union. I joined maybe 15 years ago and despite the fact that I've moved multiple times and am now rather far away from the credit union, I have never left them and still keep 90% of my money with Horizons North. Some of the friendliest and most helpful staff who unlike so many businesses these days will respond to your questions and concerns the same day. They have helped me work through so many hard financial times that I never plan to leave them. They earned my trust and respect many times over and if you are able to join and especially if you live nearby, this should be the first place you put your money!

This "Credit Union" is completely inaccessible on nights or weekends.They repeatedly block my debit card with no way to contact them to turn it back on.I am an over the road truck driver. I have asked them to NOT block my card. I told them that I will report if there's a problem.They control my money with no accountability.I will close my account the moment I arrive back in Denver, Colorado.

Never been so disrespected in my entire life. I recently got a lead position in the cannabis industry. A good , well paying job. I live with my family , I am a father. When I recently visited NHCU on my work break (one of the few times I can , due to the fact I live 40 miles away) the teller completely disrespected me as a person. Not only did she make faces when I walked up to the desk, once I was seated in the lobby her loud mouth went off about “how that kid stunk” she continued to make noises, and carried on with her coworker . I WAS 4 FEET AWAY. What kind of person in the service industry doesn’t have the common sense to be respectful to her credit unions customers? This wasn’t the first time she’s been rude and disrespectful either. Yet, this did happen to be the time where she went too far. I’m a honest man, making a honest living. Next time I’d like to see her tell the mechanic or oil field worker they’re too dirty they’ve been at work and disrespect them. I took this job to better myself and my family. North Horizon Credit Union doesn’t care about the person I am or what I do to feed my family. The same goes for the person reading this. Very disappointed I must keep revisiting to continue to pay my auto loan. Truly an unwelcoming environment.

Would be a great Credit union if they had some kind of way to stop charging your account when there is no money. They allowed damn near negative $300 dollars to be withdrawn mostly $30 over draft charges, so something that cost $2.00 is now $32 dollars and they just kept adding it on. They’re supposed to protect and keep your money safe not rob you blind of it. Horrible!

I was out with the girls and was trying to win some money...when they requested my debit card information to validate my address. Then tried to change my account. Donnaplay said there was $0.00 ...when they hit the account for $1.00 HNCU didn't pay it right away...they emailed me about it and I had a chance to stop the charges. Thanks HNCU...you saved me from a real rip off.
