They have refused to provide a payoff statement to my new mortgage company for refinance. It has been requested three times and every time we are told they will provide it in 24-48 hours and then, nothing. It is as if they are holding the mortgage hostage by not providing that document. I am applauded at their lack of professionalism.

I've worked with a number of banks over the years and this far and away was the best experience I've ever had. As the saying goes, it's all about the people and Scott made this transaction as smooth as it could have possibly been. Knowledgeable, communicative, easy to get a hold of, thorough, timely.....everything you want in someone you work with on major purchases. I would (and will) highly, highly recommend Scott/Homestead to anyone looking for real estate financing.

We got our mortgage through Homestead and have our banking accounts there as well. The service we've receive there is excellent. The bank and its employees are also very active in the community. This business is an excellent example of a small community bank. Bravo!
