Great place to get a local loan! I used GFCU to purchase a motor home. They made the process quick & easy. If at Any time I had a concern or question, I knew I could go right in and discuss it with them face to face. I’ve since paid off that loan and wouldn’t hesitate to borrow again if I felt the need.

While I originally had no issue getting an auto loan with them, my fiance was given a SUPER hard time. Not only that but when we tried to contact our loan officer through phone she never called us back after multiple attempts. She made it sound like he would be fine with a cosigner then denied the cosigner. We had $1000 down and were good on income to debt ratio and the vehicle was only 6k (so, 5k with the 1k down) She kept acting like it was completely out of her hands.After dealing with her shenanigans for a week we walked into Maine Credit Union and he got approved with no cosigner in less than 20 minutes at a great low interest deal.After I pay my auto loan off with them I am closing my account and NOT going back to give them my business because YIKES
