Client Review on Forte Payment Systems

Attempted to use their check out tool, the followed the dev docs to the letter - got a sandbox account for their DEX tool, did the javascript thing and got a great process working for the client. Even got the client trained on DEX on how to handle various transactions. Signed up after we got our test site working. Attempted to gain access to DEX for our production release, was denied, which was needed to get the API keys for our solution to work. Was told, incorrectly, by support that we could get them from the 'virtual terminal' tool. Those API keys didn't even look the same (10 character key vs a 32 character key) and would hardly work. Had to go back to square one after spending nearly 40 hours on a solution. Thanks guys! I wish I could bill you for the time / money (and client) I lost because of you. Also...there's a PCI compliance shake down fee associated with their service. Mind you can get around it if you determine which SAQ to fill out - but they won't tell you which one. Until you pay them for 'compliance' they'll charge you an extra $30. Smells fishy? Because it is...no matter what tool you use (Virtual Terminal or DEX) you never have direct access to payment information unless you have the card in your hand... My advice? Keep looking there's better partners to work with.
