We have been banking with First Security Bank for almost 30 years. We had a home loan, which we refinanced, and have a safe deposit box and a checking and savings account at the East Main branch. Never had a problem and the staff has always been helpful and courteous. The transition to Glacier Bank went smoothly including with the online website and new mobile banking app, as well as with our new debit cards.

Feedback:

The merger of First Security Bank with Glacier is going to cause me a lot of inconvenience regarding bill payments, direct deposit, etc. since they are changing my account number. Today I called to discuss this with them and they basically blew me off and said it is my responsibility to get this taken care of, not theirs (which I already knew.) I half-joked that it would be just as easy to simply open up a new account elsewhere and the rep replied "that is your choice." I think she helped me make up my mind to do just that.

I had the bank reissue a card for me. The woman told me to set my pin at the store. I did this and my card kept getting declined. I called to follow up and something went wrong “with their system”, so I had to leave a cart of groceries at the store which was not only an inconvenience but very embarrassing. This is the second time I haven’t had access to my money, how uncomfortable. Their electronic billing is also unreliable.

Overall good banking experience. I'm bummed that some of their locations which were near my house closed, but I'm going to hang in there with them. The only negative besides that is their phone app. They used to make it easy to deposit checks remotely. Now it's near impossible to deposit checks remotely. They do seem to have cookies every Friday, I put a photo below and at least one summer they had a great customer appreciation day.

I've been banking here for 11 years. As long as I stick to deposits and withdrawals and online banking everything is fine. If I interact any further than this my experience is frustrating. More often than not I get treated like an inconvenience not a customer. I have difficulty getting my questions answered or issues addressed. I guess I could write pages detailing my experiences. Suffice it to say I will be moving my accounts after todays experience. Perhaps my husband will move his business accounts so I don't have to have contact at all.
