I was refunded for a purchase from a third party over three months ago. I have proof from the company and First Bankcard is still holding my credit and has not applied it back to my card. If you are carrying this card to help your credit do not make high dollar purchases with it.

My statement goes missing every other month. Then they call and tell me its in collections. I have had this card for about 6 months. I think they are scaming people and not sending the statement out every month so they can hit you up with a late charge. I canceled the card this week.

So you tell me if you would open an account with them?Good evening, Today I received a phone call from one of your representatives at 3:30 pm. Her demeanor and arrogance was way beyond acceptable. She threatened me that if I don't pay, she will threaten me with legal action. I will discuss in detail the timeline to give you an idea of what has transpired.In September 2017, my family and financial situation changed drastically. I tried to contact your corporation via US mail of this updated situation as to why the account was late. This was not outlined in this email because of HIPPA laws. In that letter I stated that I would like to work out some acceptable payment plan which both parties can agree to. Since then no update was sent to my request. I have received phone messages, but because of the situation listed in this email, I was unable to focus on just this matter.The next phone contact was with this individual. If that is the type of customer service your corporation condones, I find that quite sad. I would like to resolve this in a amicable manner. If not, I will have to refer this matter to my attorney for his assistance. Please do not accept this as an excuse or threat, but an explanation as to why this account is in arrears and a resolution. Thank you for your assistance in regards to this matter. Please feel free to contact me if any further assistance is needed.

Stay away or close accounts with this bank. Had a fraud charge on my account. Disputed it and was told two weeks and not being told two billing cycles. $2000 limit in card with a $715 charge hurt my credit by 18 points since they posted it like nothing was flagged. Never had such bad service before or law breaking practices. I prefer to pay off my cards quickly but can't do that unless want to fight for my money two months down the road. Closed account and will be connecting lawyer on the matter.

I have never heard of a credit company that doesn't provide "pay off amounts." The first person I spoke with never told me we don't do pay offs when I asked for a pay off. Paid my balance went to look and there was a charge, called and was told it was the interest charged and when I said well they told me that was the pay off amount, I was told by the second person I spoke with, we don't provide pay off amounts. I asked how is a person supposed to pay it off if you keep accumulating interest after you pay the full amount? Last week I spoke with a third person and I was told if you pay the full amount that should be it. Now today I called to close the account and was told I would be receiving one last statement with a bill with the interest charged.... again if you pay your full bill why does this keep happening, and why are the representatives leaving information out? I have never had that happen with any other company! Some of the representatives are very nice and then other ones talk to you like you are stupid and inconveniencing them. Never again would I use this credit card company and I will be sure to pass on to others not to bother. Biggest crooks around!!

After paying off a high interest card with this one all seemed ok. Then I made payments on time and over minimum for 6 months. At this time they started taking credit away from me so that my credit score dropped for being over 50% of limit. I called and was told it was due to my low credit score. At which time I said it dropped BECAUSE of you! So raise my limit back and it will go back up. Excuses is all I got. Now a YEAR later they did it again since they reevaluate every 6 months! DO NOT USE THIS BANK FOR ANYTHING! They will ruin YOUR credit score! Reporting them to Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau!

Cancelled my account which was in excellent standing. I was never late, never missed a payment, balance was less than 50% of line of credit. Excellent interest rate and I was in the process of paying it off. It rarely used the card anymore. When I asked why they cancelled it, I was told it was because they did not like my profile. Hmmm, always pay all bills on time, very good credit scores? Only thing I can think of is because I told them I now am retired. Anyway, it did minor damage to my scores because it lowered my available credit. They did say I could reapply at any time which is not helpful because it would further damage my credit with a hard hit and no way I would receive that nice interest rate. My advice is to avoid First Bankcard. They are not loyal to their customers.
