I went to Cash Cow on Manhatten Blvd in Gretna to get a car title loan. I was very skeptical as I've never done this type of loan before. I made it clear that I only needed to borrow a small amount of money for under 30 days and I was told no problem. I was told when I pay my loan off in full that my title will be mailed to me in 14 days. I was also told I must agree and pay $17 for thier car club membership and when I pay my loan in full before the due date they automatically cancel the car club and the $17 charge. They also advertised that they take debit cards in store to pay off your loan in store for your convenience. Well I just went in to pay my loan off in full before the 30 day due date and was told they don't take debit cards, only cash or money orders, even though they advertised they take debit. I had to leave and go find a post office to get a money order. I go back and they say the $17 car club charge sticks and I have to pay it? Then after I pay the loan in full they hand me a receipt and tell me my car title will be mailed in 45 days!!! I'm sitting in my car typing this minutes after this happened because I'm so upset. I said that I was told 14 days for my title and she said no sorry its 45 days. This company is a scam. I really regret getting a title loan as I thought if I borrowed and payed it off before the due date id get my title back fairly quick. They lied and where very unorganized. They are very unprofessional also. Please if you need a loan don't do it here. You will get scammed.
