I have been banking at EICU for 18 years. I love these guys. They have been there for me time after time.

Been with them for over 15 years. No regrets whatsoever!Update: they have a hard time with competitive rates, but I get the impression they’re a little smaller than some of the other banks and credit unions around the area. They were among the first ever to have online account access. But shortly after they fell behind the technology wagon. They’ve recently started catching up with offering Apple Pay and mobile deposit.

Terrible bank. Every time I go to use the mobile ape it’s either down or doesn’t let me transfer money from my accounts which is very inconvient as I can’t use my debt card now because of that. so how do I pay for things when I can’t even control my own money when I need too!? And also they aren’t open long enough during the day for me to come in and cash any checks because they close 30 minutes after I get off work and I work 20minutes away from any of their locations when almost every other bank closes at 6 or later except these guys at 5:30. and if I do drive there they tell me they are closed 10 minutes before they are suppose to close. I would cash it online but every time I get on the mobile app the app is down or not working at all. Also idk what your cards are made of but I’ve gone through 3 cards in the last 7 months and in need of another one because the card strip won’t read anywhere now. when I’n fact at any other bank they would have lasted twice as long. Time to switch I’ve delt with this trashy bank for 4 years now and I’m done. DO NOT BANK HERE

tried to contact member services, was keep on hold for over 15 minutes and at that point it just disconnected. then when I called back it just disconnected. no option given to leave a number for them to call me back and no number available for my branch, just the one 800 number for all of them

We have lived all over the country and currently live in California, but we have maintained our accounts at EICU for over 40 years. We are completely satisfied with their service and enjoy banking with them. I am not happy with some of the banking regulations instituted by the federal government over the years, but those things are beyond the control of individual banks and credit unions. I have no complaints about EICU at all; they do great job. I would recommend this credit union to anybody.

I was on the phone them and after they told me it was THIER MISTAKE, they will NOT reimburse the fees that occurred. W.T.F?😡

Salmon branch manager was rude in telling me that an ach withdrawal for multivehicle insurance coming out early on 26Dec17 (before branch even opened) and generated an overdraft called (last defense) and showing "pending" would not be credited to me, despite having made substantial deposits same day to cover this and much more as soon as the bank opened its doors.When the auto loan was first acquired, there were erroneous negative marks on credit report from child support and another financial institution i no longer do business with. Both accounts were completely in the clear and had been for several years...they just never pulled their remarks. In fact child support was paid ahead and they issued a refund check to me saying they cannot be paid ahead of time. The loan agent at the Salmon branch received written confirmation by fax from both entities, but did not pull a fresh credit report to give me a good credit rating and interest rate. I was stuck at the highest interest rate their system would allow and lower loan amount eligibility.I have been paying well ahead on my auto loan so as to get principle paid down. I was told, today, at the drive-through in Salmon, that. I was paid up through March, and that East Idaho Credit Union no longer permits paying down principle on loans. The entire purpose of assuming this loan was to build credit i never had before. i set that even when paying ahead, they charge interest as though the time has elapsed through the future date. I have never been late on payments...ALWAYS ahead. I understand they are not considering a move to serve businesses. In light of the way EICU does business with individuals, i am reluctant to do business with them in my businesses. The final aspect, is i need a record of each month for tracking expenses and these, i am told, are not available because of a change to another system. All banking history is gone, but i can go into the branch and order research and pay an exorbitant fee to retrieve copies.

I've banked with them for years, and I have never had any complaints until now.This year, for some unimaginable reason, they decided to make a change to their system which makes it impossible to view ANY account activity prior to July 2017. YEARS of account activity just disappeared from my view. If I call the bank, I can PAY for the privilege of them printing off a sheet for a particular month (if I'm willing to come by in person to pick it up or have it faxed). If they ever fix this issue (Which I'm hoping they will, because there is no way ANYBODY still thinks this was a good idea) then I will be happy to change this to a 5 star review. This was just such a terrible idea, there is no way I can ignore it.
