Client Review on Cunningham Security Systems

I was happy with Cunningham for awhile on some jobs, but when I invited them to my home for an update to an already existing security system, I'm not sure if it was different people I was dealing with, or the company has just gone downhill, but I had a totally different, terrible experience. Watch the fine print - or in my case NO print! I had an estimate which sounded very reasonable, even an onsite visit which went well. In the original estimate, there was an option to add one item - which I did - but then they charged me MORE THAN TWICE the amount stated for that item by using hidden and unstated costs in addition!! In the end, my final bill was more than 3X the original estimate, which I had signed. Had they stated what the bill would come to including all their hidden costs, I would have said no way.When I confronted them, they did not back down and there was no reasonableness or effort to save the situation. Many hidden costs that were never stated either verbally or in writing, including $90 per hour to drive to my house and back?? What the heck? Did I pay for him to grab lunch on the way too?Total bait and switch on the price.
