Plus: outstanding view from the sea-side rooms, garden, terrace and lobby.Walking-distance from the train station and town.Minuses:grumpy receptionist and doormen, that cannot muster a half-smile. Tooth ache, maybe? Both?Very, very noisy rooms: swarms of jolly tourists will keep you awake until well past midnight. A yelling doorman woke me up, at 12:30am, banging on the room next to mine, because he forgot to request their passport on check-in. Sad self-service breakfast buffet. Stale breads, cheap pastries. Taken one small water bottle, even a half-full one to your table is forbidden. The offending bottle will be immediately removed from your table. To finish on a positive note: they let me leave one day early without penalty or discussion.

Beautifully located hotel, balcony/terraced rooms overlooking lovely gardens and Santa Margherita marina and town.Although a bit of an uphill return walk, town within easy walking distance, lovely for an evening walk.Very good quality food, with a friendly restaurant/terrace ambience. Attractive areas to sit with serene views.Clean, spacious panaromic view rooms.Disappointing that beach sun loungers incurred a daily charge even for residents and rooms did not offer any coffee or tea facilities. Lovely craggy beach areas, quite steep steps in certain areas but other sitting areas nearer the hotel.
