Client Review on Consolidated Credit

I never like to write reviews unless its a Great Experience or Really Bad. I wasn't in a bind and signed up with Consolidated Credit because I wanted to pay off some debt. I have been with Consolidated Credit for three and a half years now. I wasn't aware of the $40 monthly fee until I was half way through the program but everything was going smoothly except a couple hitch ups. I noticed my credit score dropping and it was because of $1 off a payment that one of my credit card companies asked for. I called Consolidated about this and was told that I needed to call the creditor myself (I thought that was their job) so I did and I had to pay money to the credit card company to advance my payments so they wouldn't show behind. This credit card now shows on my report for late payments which I had never paid anything late in my life. That being said, March 2018 was my last payment and I was very excited about this and I kept my account updated as requested so they knew how much to draft out each month. My last payment of $340 was not the usual full payment of $574 but guess what, the full payment was taken anyway. I called and customer service was nice and said that it was a mistake and they needed to transfer me to end the program and get refunded. I took another call and I got the Congratulations.....I see that you have a credit on your account.....we are a nonprofit company and survive off of donations..... AND then basically asked to keep the credit and also asked for me to approve for them to take another payment the next month to equal my usual full payment. I was BEYOND UPSET and Disappointed. With the $40 monthly payment plus $5 payment for drafting my account each month, I have paid almost $3000 to this company. My funds were made available each month with no problem and now they are screwing with other drafts that are to come out of my account! I called back and asked that my money to be credited back to my account immediately and that I would think about donating on my own. It is almost two weeks later and my account hasn't been credited and I have had to move money around to take care of other bills. I called again and was told that the bills don't go out until after the 21st and that when they get my money for the creditor they will send my money by mail as a check. If you use this company, make sure you look at the fine print and Ask Questions and call them when you are toward the end of your term so that it won't happen to you.
