I have been banking with BRB&T for over 7 years and have always had a fantastic expierience. Not only are there many locations to bank at here in the metro area, but I have found that all the bank employees have been friendly and helpful throughout. The primary branch that I do business with is the one here in Independence. The Branch Manager Alby Bussey has always been extremely friendly and professional with me and my family. I have several business and personal accounts and have always felt like Alby and her team make me their number 1 customer.

I have been with Blue Ridge Bank and Trust for many years. When my wife and I decided to start a business, that's where we decided to do our business banking. There has been a general decline in service from the Little Blue branch. The tellers and customer service representatives are fine, it's the branch manager Alby Bussey; that's one problem. Every time I would call or come by the branch with a problem, I was met with attitude and a complete lack of compassion for my situation. In addition, her response is typically something condescending that is unproductive to the matter at hand. The overdraft, returned check, and check hold practices at this bank are extremely punitive to the customer. The check hold policy is the straw that broke my back. Again and again with the 7 day check holds! Even on my business account! I need my business funds to be more liquid than that. I'm over it! Do not use Blue Ridge Bank and Trust Co. I am going to let everyone I know not to use this bank and why. I'm taking my money to Community America Credit Union. Fantastic and personal service at the branch, and reasonable policies. Especially the check hold policy! $500 available that day, $4500 available the next business day, and the remaining on the third day. And that's "if" you don't have matching funds in the account.

Went in with check to open account and was told it would be held for 7 days. Then I was told to come back with cash and it would be done. Returned the next day and the same guy I delt with previously didn't recognize me at all and look at me like I was stupid for speaking to him like we had already met. This offended me greatly. The guy was a douche and has no business in customer service. I went to Commerce Bank instead. It sucks cause I really wanted to bank here but forget it. I wanted to slap the stupid look off that dudes face!!
