I purchased a custom 24k gold necklace from a Asian jeweler in Philadelphia 5 months ago. Didn’t really like the necklace so decided to sell. First off the guy on the phone told me that 24K doesn’t even exist. Like what??? Smh...Well I’ve been surrounded by 24k gold all my whole life, being my husband is Asian and that’s all his family and friends ever wear. So I should have known right then not to give them business. Anyway I decided to go in after they put the owner on the phone and he gave me a pretty good quote. I go in and no one greets me but the dog. After about 2 minutes of nothing the guys ask to help me. Then he proceeds to inspect my necklace. I just had a bad feeling by the nasty attitudes in the air that it was about to be some straight bs. They didn’t have 24k gold solution to check the necklace so he proceeds to test with 22k solution. And tells me: It’s no where close to 24k gold and he’d be surprised if it’s any gold in there at all. I snatched my necklace and walk out after he wouldn’t even let me get a word in. Idk if they are racist or just mad because I had such a nice necklace Or they just don’t know what they are doing. They obviously didn’t want my business and made up lies for whatever reason. I drove to Deptford malls American Coins and Gold shop so fast. I ask them to first check my necklace because I was just told it was fake as can be. The nice guy shook his head in disgust saying yes is was very real! So unless you are white or got some 10k gold don’t go to these guys. They are trash!
