I can’t believe this. My company gave me a $250gift card and I managed to use the card twice. Every time I tried to make a transaction it got declined but they still charged me. I also managed to purchase something from Vons in Long Beach and then my card gets charged again for $135 in Vons in Pasadena. I tried calling, emailing and nothing. This is an unbelievable scam. I am honestly speechless at such crockery. Is there a class action lawsuit somewhere against this fake company?

spent 30 minutes on the phone "registering my gift card" then attempted to use the card and it was declined. Its a gift card!!! Now waiting on the phone for over 30 minutes to try to use my money! no answer so far. So unprofessional. I think it is part of the game...make it hard for us to use the money and so they do not have to pay out.

Received a $100 dollar gift card from this company, never used it. Balance went to zero, called for customer support since on line policy says the funds are never expired but you can call to transfer the funds onto a new card. Customer service was no help. They said I had to go ask for a new gift card. =[ Only giving one star since that's the minimum allowed.

My experience with the unprofessional customer service representative leads me to believe this company is a shady third party that larger companies use to "protect" themselves from having to deal with their customers. They certainly live up to the reputation. Blackhawk deferred any responsibility for their gift card, transferred me, then I was hung up on by the next support agent. If you're reading reviews about this company it's probably too late to do anything about it.

Just received the email I requested with the transaction history on my gift card, including the date they closed the account due to expiration, even though there was a balance left. I saw the expiry date on the card, but didn't think much of it because I didn't think it was valid to put an expiration on gift card funds in CA. I'm sure they've found some loophole around this (since it was a gift, and not actually purchased with my own funds). But man, that's shady! And really crummy too. Glad there wasn't much left on it.
