Client Review on ARNOLD DEER PROCESSING

I have used Arnold Deer Processing (ADP) twice now. The first experience in 2014 put me on the fence as to whether to use them again or not. The reason being was due to the owner not showing up as promised, forcing us to leave the meat outside his business with an order sheet. I did, however, receive delicious meat products from the feral hogs that I took hunting.I once again used ADP in February of 2015. The owner no showed me again despite multiple calls that day and a meet time set by him. My buddy and I waited and finally received info that the owner wouldn’t be able to make it but would send his wife to take our order. This was after telling him that I had a flight to catch and was pressed for time. The wife showed up about :30 mins after the set meet time. She opened the shop and took our order. We gave her very definitive instructions of how much of the meat we wanted to be made into sausage and how much we wanted cleaned, deboned, and packed for shipping. Upon leaving, I just had a feeling that she didn’t comprehend what we wanted. We went BACK into the shop and slowly reiterated our order. The wife assured us that she understood. However, when the order was ready for pickup,…it was completely messed up. We dropped approximately 550 lbs of feral hog. We wanted all back straps, roasts, hams and tenderloins cleaned and packaged. What we received was only 2 roasts and the rest made into sausage (their most expensive products). In addition, we only received 203 lbs of sausage (this after some beef was added). To me, that math does not add up although there is no way of proving that they kept meat. Also, while we expecting a bill around $400, we were given a bill of nearly $800. The owner passed the fault onto his wife and requested we speak to her. The wife, however, insisted we speak to the owner. In the end, even though the wife admitted fault and both owner and she were, at times, super argumentative with us, he “graciously” took three de-bonings off our order bringing our total to $695. This is how stupid it got…the wife offered to keep our sausage and buy us store bought pork to replace our loss. I highly recommend finding another game processor. This place is a rip off in my opinion.
