Client Review on All That Glitters Pawn Shop North Portland

I initially wasn't going to say anything, but have to speak my peace. This location has horrible customer service and I'm hoping my review will lead to changes in the way that they do business. I was in a bind and went here because of the great reviews and because I had done business with them before. My first experience wasn't the greatest, as the young lady who is the reason for my bad review today was the same one I dealt with today. In either case, I was willing to look past it because I was able to get a short-term loan the last time that helped me make rent. I was attempting to pawn a perfectly working Xbox One S. The rep I worked with powered it on and saw that it was working, but passed on it because she was concerned about it making a noise that was barely audible unless you were standing directly over it and because she felt it was too warm after only being on a a couple of minutes. The last time I took in a tablet and she passed on it because it was an Amazon Fire Tablet and even though it was in perfect working condition, she passed because "Amazon tablets are cheaply made." She could have simply passed without making disparaging marks about cheaply made Amazon tablets because it was clear that she was not informed enough to make that kind of determination. I get that they have to be selective about the items they make loans on, but there is a right way and wrong way to turn someone down without insulting their products. BACK to my experience Today... At no time did my Xbox One S not work as expected and I feel like she was just looking for any reason not to help me and as a previous reviewer stated, I felt like the decision was due to prejudice and a desire to have me do business elsewhere. Her same limited knowledge of what she was talking about that almost made me leave bad review the last time I did business with this location ruined my experience and made me feel like she was judging me. This time I felt the need to let my opinion be known in the off chance that management is not aware of the un-professionalism of some of their staff.I will never do business with this place again and neither should you until they do some sensitivity training with their staff.
