Feedback:

Terrible customer service, they cannot do anything right. They are much slower than your average bank. They closed my account over two weeks ago and still have yet to send me my funds. All and all I have only had problems with this bank.

Affinity Credit Union is a bank I have been using for my savings for over 5 years. I send money from my other DDA account from a different bank whenever I want to save up for a vacation or something substantial. I recently changed to a new DDA account to a different bank and I had some issues with my various direct deposits and remote deposits into my new DDA. So there was a timing issues with a check that went Affinity that caused a kickback. I caught the issue and reissued a replacement check but I got a letter from Affinity today stating they will submit my check to law enforcement for the bounce back. I was very disappointed to get a letter like this especially seeing that it was a template letter where no account history was reviewed. I will be closing my savings account as a result this is not a credit union that respects or care about their customers.

My consolidation loan application was fast and full informed with the process and I want to give a special Thank you! To Cynthia Porter for her outstanding help and professionalism and Mr. Jose Funes as well.. great credit union some issues sometimes with the phone customer service but no a big deal .. my suggestions work more with the smartphone app ..keep improving please.

This is the worst place for shared branching. The machines aren't able to properly verify you and there's no way for a teller to manually transfer funds. You have no choice but to work with a stupid machine. Waste of gas and time.

For the most part, Affinity is helpful to those who do banking away from a nearby branch, but their customer service skills are definitely lacking. Their after hours phone service center is horrendous. Whenever I speak to an after-hours representative, they tend to not concentrate on things I am telling them, make clerical mistakes on my account. One after-hours representative told me that I had several hundred dollars in my account. I double checked my account, and sure enough, it wasn't there. I later called during normal business hours to speak to a manager in order to address the issue, and the manager's attitude was basically "it is what it is". And when I do call during normal business hours, representatives try to push the "online banking" option. Well, what if I don't want to do online banking? What if I'm away from a computer? Just shut up and do your job! Most other banks have fully qualified people on the clock 24 hours a day, but not Affinity. Why should I stay with Affinity?

I was very disappoined with the customer service I received regarding an issue with my savings account. I had to make several phone calls in order to speak with someone who could address my problem because the reps were not able to provide me with accurate information to resolve the issue (i.e. one customer service rep told me that I could not transfer funds from a savings account despite the fact that I transferred funds a week prior). Additionally, the tone and manner in which I was spoken to was condescending and unprofessional. My issue still has not been resolved, my funds are not accessible, and I now have to make a trip to one of the physical locations in an attempt to get the problem resolved. I have been a member for at least five years, but now plan to close my account once everything is cleared up.

The incompetence of Affinity is amazing for a financial institution. They cannot get paperwork done on schedule and don't even know what their consumer finance products are. This has led to me having to pay extra in a refinancing fiasco created by Affinity. Their computer system routinely does payments incorrectly and leave me having to call them at least once every other week at the moment. I have tried emailing, but the people responding to emails are so lazy that no matter the issue, they just say I have to call them.

Had the bank for years, and with out writting a 4 page review I will say that customer service refused to help me which led to a negative mark on my credit report. I hate their customer service and moved all my accounts to Bank of America and yes they helped me fix the issue that Affinity refused to help me with.**** Response to the reply **** I viewed your reply, but I am still very unhappy with the response that I received and the trouble I experienced so I will not be reaching out to you. Thank you
