Very quick service which was incredible and I really didn’t think I would get a Home loan to begin with but academy mortgage gave me the chance to own my first home and I am forever grateful! However I wish he was more open with me since I was a first time homebuyer and didn’t know what was going on.

I didn't feel very confident working with Academy Mortgage. Travis Wentworth was difficult to communicate with. Travis wants to talk on the phone for everything but almost never was actually prepared with specific details of our case. We even physically went to the office to meet Travis and iron out the details, specifically requirements of a gift payment we recieved that would be going to our downpayment. Still, we nearly lost the house. We were informed by Academy (the morning after we signed at 11 am) that the gift payment was not processed and we had an hour to come up with our cash to close. We desperately scambled to fix things and were able to do so thanks to help from family.Academy then sold our mortgage days later, but the solicitations for mortgage insurance arrive daily.

My boyfriend and I searched for months for our first home. Travis at Academy Mortgage was recommended to us by our agent and we are so happy that we listened. Travis gave us a quick preapproval, let us know what we could comfortably afford and once we got our offer accepted, Travis made the process seem smooth and effortless- even though he was probably doing a lot on his end. He was always available to answer our questions and kept in touch with us throughout the process. Thank you Travis and Academy Mortgage for helping us with this next step in our lives!

The home loan process seems daunting at times. It takes a lot of work on for both parties involved. Travis was very helpful during the whole process. He was always available even on the weekends to answer my questions or concerns. There were times I thought this might not work but Travis was able to clear those issues and figure out what documents were needed to get it approved. I appreciate all Travis did and how helpful his staff was. We are now proud homeowners with our dream beach property!!!!!
