So after receiving a phone call from Clearwater ABSA , last week to renew my FICA info I diligently went in last week Thursday with all relevant info. It was confirmed as being successful . Yesterday whilst trying to pay for some groceries my cards were declined, after obtaining a number for the bank I am told I haven't renewed my FICA. Do you have an idea how embarrassing such a situation is. I phoned the branch and spoke to the acting manager who promised to contact me back. An hour later I contacted the bank again and spoke to the teller who helped with the FICA registration. NO ONE bothered to come back to me . This morning after trying again to with draw I went into the bank. Instead of making your branches all pretty and high tech rather spend the money on staff training, that when I client has an issue like this contact them at regular intervals and do not assume that because you have mailed a query your job is now complete, After being a client with what started out as United Building Society then becoming ABSA , about 30 years, I think its time to move my accounts. I asked to see the acting manager this morning she was busy with a client when she came to the counter and was told I was there she walked off. ABSA Clearwater your service sucks.
